General Discussion

This rare grass occurs in sandy pinelands along the eastern United States; a NYS1, it was collected from an unspecified locality in Suffolk Co., NY in 1992. Also, as it has been historically reported just south of our range in Ocean and Burlington Cos., NJ; this species should be sought in Monmouth and Middlesex Cos., NJ as well.
