General Discussion

Quercus x bushii Sarg. Bot. Gaz. 65: 453. 1918.

This hybrid oak results from the crossing of blackjack and black oaks and is one of the more frequently occuring of the hybrid oaks in the New York metropolitan area, with leaves intermediate in characters between the two parents.
