There are 4 stonecrops- Hylotelephium telephium (L.) H. Ohba., Hylotelephium erythrostictum (Miq.) H. Ohba, Hylotelephium spectabile (Boreau) H. Ohba, and Hylotelephium telephioides (Michx.) H. Ohba. (all formerly genus Sedum), reported in our area. The problem is further compounded as these are always encountered in a sterile state in our area. Further research is needed to clarify the occurrence and distribution of these taxa in the NY metropolitan area; therefore all taxa are herein mapped as one unit.
