General Discussion

Quercus x faxonii Trel. Proc. Amer. Phil. Soc. 56: 49. 1917.

This hybrid oak results from the crossing of white and dwarf chestnut oaks; with leaves intermediate in characters between the two parents. Presently there is one record in the New York metropolitan area.
