General Discussion
Sacciolepis striata (L.) Nash is native to the southeastern United States, traditionally ranging as far north as Delaware to very southern New Jersey. There have been recent reports of disjunct populations in Massachussetts and Maine. It may eventually be found in our area, but no specimens have yet been seen.
